These are a few examples of e2x ATG engagements
Global Internet Platform for Global Corporation
e2x ran a long-term (over 4 years) agile ATG development project for a large multi-national corporation. The project team size was approximately 80 people consisting of a mixture of e2x consultants (filling all leadership and management roles), e2x associates (augmenting these leadership roles), contractors and client employees. The project achieved its twin objectives of continuously delivering releases - every 10 weeks - of a business-critical system whilst simultaneously improving the skills of client employees prior to transitioning the key roles to those employees. The Global Internet Platform provided front-end B2C and B2B services, incorporated content and catalogue management, online and offline relationship management, and web-services interfaces capabilities. The platform currently supports over 80 countries, 50 languages and several different Philips brands and divisions.
E-commerce Site for Major TelCo
e2x took over the delivery of an ATG e-commerce site for a major TelCo on a wholly-outsourced, fixed-price basis. The system as delivered suffered performance and stability problems, was undocumentated and difficult to manage and maintain. e2x reverse-engineered the system design, took over the system maintenance and corrected its major faults, whilst also training the offshore development and operations teams that were to assume long-term responsibility for the system. In addition to resolving architectural and implementation issues with the system, e2x delivered major functional improvements.
E-Commerce Site for Multi-National Corporation
e2x were engaged to help resolve a number of architectural and implementation issues with the release of an interim version of an ATG e-commerce site. Following the successful resolution of the these issues and subsequent go-live we were engaged to provide ongoing consultancy support to the team in delivering a major new version of the system. e2x helped improve the development and delivery processes of a team split between the UK and US, whilst simultaneously helping them improve the architecture and implementation of their system.
Web-Service Interfaces to E-Commerce System
e2x delivered an extensive set of web-service interfaces for an ATG-based e-commerce system on a wholly-outsourced, fixed-price basis. These interfaces enabled Rich Internet Applications and hardware appliances to access major areas of ATG functionality.
E-Commerce Site for a major UK Retailer
e2x undertook a review to identify the root causes of stability and performance issues suffered by a major UK retailer in their ATG e-commerce system. e2x uncovered the underlying performance bottlenecks in the system architecture and were able to resolve the issues in a short period of time.
